High Marshal Helbrecht is one of the most iconic leaders of the Black Templars, and this Level 4 commission was painted to reflect his status as the Chapter’s legendary High Marshal. While the painting style remains suitable for regular tabletop gaming, extra attention was given to the character’s ornate armor, weaponry, and accompanying servitors to make him stand out as the centerpiece of a Black Templars army.

The miniature is dominated by rich metallic gold armor that immediately establishes Helbrecht’s commanding presence. In contrast, many of the smaller metallic details were painted using Non Metallic Metal (NMM) techniques, including the sword, chains, mechanical hand, and various decorative elements. This combination of true metallic gold and painted NMM silver creates an interesting contrast while emphasizing the relic equipment carried by one of the Imperium’s greatest champions.

His flowing black cloak was highlighted with soft grey edge highlights to define the folds without losing the deep black appearance associated with the Black Templars. The interior of the robe was painted in warm tan tones, adding another layer of contrast against the armor. White shoulder markings and bold red heraldry reinforce the chapter’s unmistakable color scheme, while purity seals, parchment, and numerous relic details help tell the story of a warrior who has led countless crusades in the Emperor’s name.

The accompanying servitors were painted in a restrained palette of grey robes with NMM silver mechanical components. One detail that immediately draws the eye is the distinctive yellow and black hazard-striped cabling running across their backs, adding a touch of industrial color without distracting from the central figure.

The base remains intentionally simple, featuring grey stone and scattered rocky textures that keep the focus firmly on Helbrecht himself while fitting naturally into the grim battlefields of Warhammer 40,000.

For Black Templars collectors, High Marshal Helbrecht is more than just another HQ choice. He embodies the Eternal Crusade and the uncompromising faith of his Chapter. After all, “No Pity! No Remorse! No Fear!” Few battle cries are more fitting for one of the Imperium’s most renowned Chapter Masters.
