Blood Bowl Skavenblight Scramblers
“Run-run faster! Cheat-steal harder! Glory belongs to the Great Horned Rat, yes-yes!”
No referee can watch every foul, every hidden blade, or every suspiciously convenient accident. This Blood Bowl Skavenblight Scramblers painted commission celebrates everything Skaven are infamous for: overwhelming speed, dirty tricks, and just enough warpstone-fueled confidence to believe the plan won’t explode this time.
Painted to our Level 3 quality, the team includes the complete roster of Skaven players alongside an impressive lineup of Star Players. While every miniature follows a unified palette, each character was given enough individual attention to ensure they stands out on the pitch, especially if they’re sprinting toward the end zone while everyone else is distracted by a conveniently timed “equipment malfunction.”
The Skaven themselves follow a classic scheme of brown and dark grey fur, pale flesh tones, and worn silver and brass armor finished with subtle rust and verdigris. Black clothing keeps the team cohesive, while the Gutter Runners wear black cloaks with deep red interiors that reinforce their role as the team’s elusive assassins… ahem, “athletes.” Bright warpstone green accents appear throughout the team on crystals, equipment, clothing, and accessories, creating vivid contrast against the otherwise muted palette and tying the entire collection together.
The Star Players each retain their iconic appearance while naturally fitting into the team’s colors. Kreek ‘The Verminator’ Rustgouger features weathered machinery with glowing warpstone details, Glart Smashrip showcases scarred flesh and battered armor, while Hakflem Skuttlespike carries the same vibrant green accents found throughout the team. Varag Ghoul-Chewer was painted with traditional Orc skin tones and neutral clothing that complements the Skaven colors, while the unfortunate ghoul perched on his shoulder pad received matching green tones to echo the warpstone theme. Even rivals can become part of the team… eventually.
Every miniature is mounted on black earth bases intersected by glowing green trails reminiscent of rivers of liquid warpstone. The vivid green effects contrast beautifully with the dark ground while reinforcing the corrupted, subterranean atmosphere of Clan Skryre’s finest engineering, or at least its safest engineering.
“If plan succeeds, I was genius. If plan fails… blame-blame the Underlings!”
